I've been working on organizing an online Poker tournament for charity for the past few months. I reached out to the folks at Stocktwits.com and they were more than happy to help a lending hand, for which I am very appreciative. I decided to organize this event to help a friend of mine who has a child with Tuberous Sclerosis and raise money for the TS Alliance. Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidneys, liver, skin and lungs. Today I'm happy to officially announce the tournament.
The tournament will take place Sunday October 25, 2009 at 6:30EST. The tournament should be loads of fun as it offers a chance for members of the Stocktwits community to compete directly with each other and win prizes. There will be bounties placed on community members as well which should make the tournament even more interesting. The tournament will be No Limit Texas Holdem with a total buy in of $50. $25 will go towards the charity and $25 will go towards the prize pool. If anyone is interested in participating please visit
